TREx

Texas Student Records Electronic eXchange System
Each school district, open-enrollment charter school, and institution of higher education shall participate in an electronic student records system as mandated by the Texas legislature (T.E.C. 7.010) This requirement includes the transfer of records regarding receipt of special education services, including placement in a special education program and the idividualized education program developed. The Texas student Records Electronic eXchange system (TREx) is a webased application for the exchange of electronic student records between Texas public schools. TREx is accessed through the TEASE application and requires approval from superintendents. Full Individual Evaluation and latest ARD/Individualized Education program documentation is uploaded through pdf. Uploaded records will be purged after 10 calendar days, as per FERPA guidelines.
